This is the FM 2.0 Music News/Concert Review with me, Amy Lynn. Let's get into it. I got the pleasure to see a band in which I grew up with. I've been singing their songs my whole entire life. Formed in 1975, this duo met while performing in a production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Graham Russell heard Russell Hitchcock's tenor voice, and the rest was fate. You guessed it. I'm talking about air supply, and I got to see them live. Now, I arrived a little late due to living some hours away and traffic, and GPS did me real dirty. But I made it to the beautiful venue called the Stamford Palace Theater in Stamford, Connecticut. Now, I'd never been there before, and I did have to look around and find a parking garage and walk in, but I made it, and I could hear them singing outside, and I instantly felt better. I got my tickets and I got some drink vouchers on the house, which was very nice. And then the very helpful staff helped me find my seat. And wow, was I so surprised? I was so close to the stage. It was perfect. I was like center stage.

Graham and Russell were already on stage enchanting the audience. And in between songs, they took turns talking about their friendship and career. And with their charming candor, I can see why they have such a devoted following. Even after a career spanning almost 50 years, they sounded wonderful live. And their band, made up of Aaron McLean, Mirko Tessandori, Pavel Valdmann, and Doug Gild were superb. I have to admit of having a little crush on Graham Russell. I just love his writing style, his guitar playing, and his poetry. And he read a poem on stage. No music, just him reading a poem. Loved it. I held it together. I did pretty good, but it was great. Finally, miles shooting down to one, and the spinning world makes sense. When love in all its glories turns, makes haste to my defense. Graham even sang their new song, Coming Out Next Year, called Can We Say I Do? I definitely had the Lost In Love experience. And while singing The One That You Love, one of my personal favorites of the night, Russell Hitchcock seemed to have looked right at me while he was singing. I got to tell you, I got some goosebumps for sure.

But I kept singing along with the rest of the audience, and we sounded pretty good, if I do say so myself. Here I am, the one that you love. Ask me for another day. Understand the one that you love. Loved you in so many ways. And although I missed my favorite song, Sweet Dreams, because they always open with that one, I still got to hear them perform, I can wait forever. Two less lonely people in the world, lost in love, and all out of love had a lot of audience participation. It was just an all-around wonderful evening. Air Supply will be performing in Canada soon, and they said this will be their 55th, 100th show. Now, that is quite a feat and a testament of their dedication to their fans and their music. Bravo. And thank you for tuning in to the FM 2.0 Music News/ConcertReview with me, Amy Lynn, where every day is a good day with music.
