After nearly two decades, The Cure is back with their epic new track “Alone,” the first single from their upcoming album Songs of a Lost World, set for release on November 1, 2024. The nearly seven-minute track opens with swelling strings and stadium-sized drums, giving way to Robert Smith’s haunting vocals. Inspired by the Victorian poem “Dregs” by Ernest Dowson, the song's melancholic lyrics capture feelings of isolation and longing.
